The 2024 Annual Meeting of the Pedagogy Discipline Alliance of the Jiangsu Provincial Postgraduate Education Steering Committee for Education occurred at Yangzhou University on December 8, 2024. The meeting's theme focused on developing practical skills and establishing discipline for postgraduate students in education professional degrees. Dean Jiajia Wang from our institution presented a keynote address regarding the training of Master of Education students at Jiangsu University during the meeting.
Attendees included Kangning Wu, Director of the Jiangsu Provincial Postgraduate Education Steering Committee for Education and Professor at the School of Education Science, Nanjing Normal University; Guochun Cai, Deputy Party Secretary of Jiangsu Normal University; Xuejun Chen, Deputy Dean of the School of Education Science, Nanjing Normal University and Head of the Secretariat; Xia Wang, Professor at the Institute of Education, Nanjing University; Qiuping Chen, Professor at the School of Education Science, Yangzhou University, along with other members of the steering committee. Moreover, allied institutions like Nanjing University, Southeast University, Jiangnan University, Jiangsu University, Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology, Nanjing Normal University, and Jiangsu Normal University also attended the meeting.
During the meeting, Dean Jiajia Wang presented a keynote report regarding the training of Master of Education students at Jiangsu University. Dean Wang conveyed the persistent endeavours of the School of Teacher Education at Jiangsu University in educating Master of Education students to the attending committee members. The report addressed five facets: excelling in top-level design and instituting organizational standards; enhancing curriculum development and advancing pedagogical reform; emphasizing experiential learning and fostering collaborative education; advancing process management and elevating dissertation quality; and committing to moral cultivation and developing a cadre of supervisors. Dean Wang’s keynote address thoroughly showcased the initiatives and accomplishments of Jiangsu University in the education of Master of Education students, garnering significant attention and universal acclaim from the attending universities.
