To keep pace with the evolving landscape of higher education and the growing demand for intelligent education professionals, the School of Teacher Education at Jiangsu University organized a seminar on February 24, 2025. The event focused on transforming and upgrading the Educational Technology (Teacher Training) program to enhance undergraduate education and talent cultivation. It was held in Room 1806 of the Sanjiang Building, bringing together experts to discuss the impact of AI on teacher training. Professor Mingxuan Chen from Jiangnan University, Deputy Director of the Education Technology Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education; Professor Hongquan Bo, Deputy Dean of the School of Education Science at Nanjing Normal University; Xiaoyang Zhang, Deputy Director of the Department of Discipline Construction and Planning Development at our institution; and Liuyang Ji, Deputy Director of the Department of Education Affairs at our institution, participated in the seminar. Professor Jiajia Wang, the Dean of School of Teacher Education, conducted the seminar. Key college executives and educators from the Department of Educational Technology attended the session.

Initially, President Jiajia Wang extended a cordial greeting and heartfelt gratitude to the experts and scholars from both within and beyond the university for their guidance. He anticipated that all experts would provide insights into the transformation and enhancement plan for educational technology (teacher training) from various perspectives, thereby assisting the college in achieving coherent development in establishing undergraduate programs.
Vice President Cui Kang delivered a report encompassing three facets: the fundamental status of the major, the challenges and emerging opportunities in professional development, and the strategy for professional transformation and enhancement. He elaborated on the distinctive practices and training outcomes of refined education and the promotion of learning through exquisite education and learning through competition in establishing our college’s undergraduate major while emphasizing three preliminary plans for professional transformation and upgrading.
During the demonstration, the participating experts meticulously evaluated the pertinent transformation and upgrading programs, integrating their professional expertise and practical experience to assess the initiative appropriately. Experts engaged in comprehensive talks regarding the training objectives, curricular framework, and alignment with societal demands of the program, based on the current circumstances of our school and institute, and proposed numerous guiding recommendations and ideas.
Ultimately, Guangqing Bu, the secretary of the college’s Party Committee, delivered a concluding address. Secretary Bu expressed gratitude to the experts for their visit and counsel, emphasizing that the college will proactively address societal needs and pursue transformative breakthroughs. In the future, the College will further refine and optimize the transformation and upgrading plan of the major, stimulate the internal momentum of the major construction, and try to improve the quality of undergraduate talent training.
