Vice President Daojian Yang Reviews School of Teacher Education’s Semester Readiness

On February 18, 2025, Vice President Daojian Yang, a member of the university’s Party Committee, spearheaded a delegation to assess the commencement activities for the new semester at the School of Teacher Education. Peng Xue, Vice Director of the University Office, accompanied the research team. The School of Teacher Education leadership, department heads, faculty party branch secretaries, administrative personnel, and teacher representatives participated in the research meeting. Guangqing Bu, the Party Committee Secretary of the School of Teacher Education, chaired the meeting.

During the meeting, Dean Jiajia Wang evaluated the college’s performance in 2024, highlighted the accomplishments in high-quality development, outlined the objectives, strategies, and priorities for 2025, and articulated the college’s developmental requirements and aspirations. Secretary Guangqing Bu offered additional clarifications regarding the college’s unique operational characteristics, annual performance assessment metrics, and talent acquisition strategies. The participants engaged in discourse and exchanged their perspectives.

Vice President Daojian Yang attentively reviewed the reports and unequivocally endorsed the college’s efforts across multiple domains. He said that the college’s endeavors were transparent in their methodology, unequivocal in their objectives, precise in their subject matter, and efficacious in their assessments. He also offered precise recommendations about talent development, discipline establishment, and fostering educational accomplishments. Vice President Daojian Yang indicated that:

1. The college should focus on its disciplinary characteristics, leverage its strengths, and continue building distinctive features in running the school.

2. Expanding development ideas, benchmarking against standards to identify gaps, and concentrating efforts on improving weak links are necessary.

3. The college should plan comprehensively, strengthen cooperation, and support talent cultivation and scientific research.
