On October 16th, 2023, the finals of the “National Tian Jiabing Cup" (Professional Teaching Skills Competition) were successfully completed at Changchun Normal University. After fierce competition, Jin Xueyu, our M.Ed. student from the School of Teacher Education of Jiangsu University, won the second prize.
The teaching materials integrated junior and senior high school, and the trial content is chosen from all textbooks. The contestants' subject literacy, teaching ability, on-site adaptability, and psychological quality were tested in the closed environment during question selection and preparation, class simulation (15 minutes), and on-site defense (5 minutes).
The competition has yielded favorable outcomes, demonstrating the practical skills in full-time master’s education practice at the School of Teacher Education of Jiangsu University. The outcome in question is a direct consequence of the collective endeavors of the students involved and the deliberate instructional interventions implemented by the team of instructors. The School of Teacher Education will prioritize the educational practice ability competition as a foundational element, consistently reforming and innovating the training approach for full-time Master of Education students. The objective is to nurture highly competent and innovative educators, thereby achieving the essence and high-quality advancement of full-time Master of Education professional degree postgraduate education.
